I dyed my hair a medium brown that had a reddish tint over two months ago with a semi permanent hair color. A few weeks later it turned a really unappealing reddish color. Although it’s faded some, it’s still a really awkward color. Would dying it with a permanent dirty blonde color cover the reddish color?

I think as long as you get a chocolate base or mocha base or something close to that sort it should be fine. You should try to get a dirty blonde glazed look (frosted), it should look fine.

Question by Shondelle F: What semi-permanent hair color should I use to turn my ashy brown hair to a rich brown color?
My hair is relaxed and I don’t want to get a color lifter because I heard that it will be too much chemicals. I have dark brown hair that has been dyed black before but its really ashy. I want a rich brown so it wont look so ashy against my skin tone. Any ideas on a hair color?
