I really need to find a good brand of hair dye because i might be able to dye my hair the blood red with black tips but I need to find a good brand of hair dye.

I have dark brown hair and i want to dye it a dark purple. Should i use a dark purple dye or a brighter purple since my hair is already dark and it will make the purple look dark? Also if i want a dark color do i need to bleach first because i wasn’t planning on it.

I want a bright purple dye that is conditioning (not harsh) that I can use a couple times between salon visits because my purplish-red highlights never last. I currently use a Goldwell dye but its too dark of a purple, so I need more of a magenta purple. Don’t recommend Hot Topic dyes, those just turn my hair back to black.
