I’m a natural blonde and left the top part of my hair my natural color and dyed the bottom half of my head black. Three months later, I now wish to dye my hair a dark auburn/red color. The black hair dye has faded to a medium brown color with some patchy ash blonde spots in it. I was wondering if there is a specific way to dye this type of hair without getting a two-tone effect with the red dye?

eh, the best way to completely eliminate the two-tone you’ll get would be to dye your whole head black or bleach it white, then go for the red. I wouldn’t bleach to white as that will seriously damage your hair.

So dye your hair entirely black, then bleach it once or twice, use a toner dye to remove any brassiness, and finally dye in the red.
Leave 3 days between dying it black and your first bleach, then a day between each bleach, the toning, and red dye.

I just dyed my hair about an hour ago and I really don’t like how it came out. I had black hair and dyed it red. Only the roots changed and they’re more noticeable than before. I used Splat hair dye.
If I used the bleach it came with would I be able to dye it sooner? Or could I get it dyed at a salon and not damage it?
Hypothetically, how much would I damage my hair if I re-dyed it at a salon tomorrow?

Just don’t use peroxide or bleach. I dye my hair a lot and I just follow that rule, my hair is still so healthy from just dying over the other color. In fact I was offered a modeling job because of my hair…so it must work lol

Purple would look good or maybe just streaks of purple but i no this girl who has black hair and it keeps getting lighter till the end were it’s blonde and it looks really cool.

I’ve had black hair dye in my hair for about 5 months. I did it so my hair would be darker but now I regret it. I only put the black on pieces of my hair so it looks like black low lights. But they’re really fat and uneven. How can I get it out or even lighten it up with trying to re-dye it. Does Head and Shoulders Dandruff shampoo work?
